SlidesGo — AI presentation and PowerPoint generator

SlidesGo

AI presentation tool (slidesgo.io, not Slidesgo.com) that generates PowerPoint decks from a prompt and converts PDF/Word/Excel/YouTube/text to slides, built with Claude models. Credit-based from $9.50/mo.

PDF Export PowerPoint

SlidesGo (at slidesgo.io) is an AI presentation tool that generates PowerPoint decks from a text prompt and converts existing material — PDF, Word, Excel, Markdown, HTML, YouTube or plain text — into slides. It also beautifies or redesigns decks you already have, writes speaker notes, and can pull a reusable "reverse prompt" out of an existing presentation. It runs as a standalone web app, builds decks with Claude models (Sonnet 4.6, or Opus 4.7 on the top plan) and Nano Banana 2 for images, and works on a credit allowance.

A quick note to avoid confusion: this is slidesgo.io, a distinct product from Slidesgo.com (the Freepik template library). The two are unrelated.

It sits in AI slide generators, AI presentation makers and AI PowerPoint tools.

Where it stands out

It starts from a prompt or almost any file. A topic, a PDF, a Word, Excel or Markdown file, an HTML page, a YouTube video or pasted text can all become a deck, which suits turning material you already have into slides.

More than generation. Beyond creating decks it beautifies existing ones, writes speaker notes, and extracts a reusable prompt from a presentation — plus free utilities like PPT to PDF, PPT to Word, PPT to JPG, merge and compress.

Current models. Decks are built with Claude Sonnet 4.6 on the lower plans and Claude Opus 4.7 on Premium, with higher-resolution images on the top tier.

Google Slides and PowerPoint: what's native, what's export

SlidesGo runs in its own web app — not inside PowerPoint and not as a Google Slides add-on. Decks export to PowerPoint (PPTX), and free tools convert PPT to PDF, Word and JPG; exported PPTX files open in Google Slides. There's no native Google Slides export.

Free vs paid

Pricing is credit-based, with a monthly/annual toggle (annual saves about 20%). Starter is $9.50/month billed annually ($15.90 monthly) — 1,000 credits a month, around 10 decks. Standard is $23.90/month annually ($39.90 monthly) — 3,000 credits a month, around 60 decks. Premium is $47.90/month annually ($79.90 monthly) — 7,500 credits a month, around 150 decks, Claude Opus 4.7, 4K images and 100+ templates. New users get some free credits to try it. Confirm current figures on the pricing page.

Who it's best for

People who generate presentations often and want a prompt- or file-to-PowerPoint workflow with plenty of conversion tools alongside it — entrepreneurs, educators and marketers who will use a monthly credit allowance.

Where it may not be the best fit

Pricing is per-credit rather than a flat seat, there's no ongoing free plan (just trial credits), and there's no native Google Slides export or described real-time collaboration. If you want a free tier or Slides-native editing, look elsewhere.

Alternatives to consider

  • SlidesGPT — low-cost text-to-PowerPoint with Google Slides and PDF export.
  • Gamma — a design-forward maker with a strong free tier and multi-format export.
  • AiPPT.com — document-to-deck with PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote export.

Pricing, credit limits and export options change often — check the current details on SlidesGo's site before relying on them.
